    FAQ

Our cattle are all natural, meaning the animal has never received antibiotics or artificial growth hormone. We label our cattle as mountain raised, because they spend the majority of the year on the mountain. This environment is low stress, due to the temperature and the space they get. We consider this proper animal husbandry. Heat stress in cattle is induced around 80 degrees fahrenheit, at the ranch our average temperature for the summer is 70 degrees fahrenheit. This reduction in heat stress alone makes for a healthier and happier animal. Once the animals come off the mountain for the winter months they are finished on a grain fed diet. Giving them excellent marbling and flavor.

When buying bulk from us there is typically a $2/pound discount compared to our sampler boxes.

Our beef is dry aged for 21 days, shrink wrapped and then flash frozen. For delivery your beef will be shipped in a fully insulated box with an aluminum liner packed with dry ice. This allows for the beef to be fully frozen for up to 4 days while in transit.

All cutz beef is born and raised on the ranch, we are the only hands to ever touch the animal. This assures that we know every single input that has gone into that animal. This is our added value, in comparison to retail bought beef that you have no idea what is truly in it or where it even came from.

Prior to joining the ranch to table movement we sold to feedlots in the midwest. In these feedlots there are hundreds of thousands of calves. Our group of 400 that would go there always ended up in the 97th percentile on quality. We breed our cows to bulls with the highest ribeye and marbling EPD scores to ensure a restaurant quality product for our customers. Our current packer does not have a grader on staff but after his 50 years of experience claims all our calves are Prime quality.
